Ben Wenzel is the original owner/driver of this rare 67 Z/28 Camaro. Only 602 Z/28s were built in 67 and most went to road courses like they were designed for. A few decided to use the high winding 302 cubic inch small block to take on the big blocks and Hemis. Bens Z/28 has been a drag car since day one. Winning at the US Nationals in 67. He didn't win another NHRA event till 43 years later with the same car still sporting its 302 small block and three pedal Muncie 4 speed. Yes this car is still a old school stick car in a world of drag cars with high tech automatics. This car is just awesome. Watch the videos and try to watch the tach. This small block is pushing over 10k RPMs.

And a video outside of the car making a pass.

It probably has the M21 close ratio Muncie and some where near a 4:56 or 4:88 rear gears.

yeah, my 327 in my 68 can't get close to that. My grandpa has had one small block that could do 10k plus and not break a swear. It was a 327 bored to a 331 and has crank that had all the throws smoothed it looked like it was chrome. It was in a 55 Chevy gasser.
